Spirit McIntyre, pronouns: Spirit, They & Them, is a Cellist, Vocalist, Lyricist, Wellness Advocate, Sound Healer, Reiki Practitioner, Compassionate Facilitator and Diligent Community Member who promotes empowerment and healing by any medium necessary. Spirit believes in: the importance of breath, the power of deep listening and witnessing, holding space for complex emotions, healing intergenerational trauma, honoring lovability, and being seen and seeing. Spirit incorporates these beliefs in their facilitation, healing, performance and lyfe practices, which focus on: Black, Queer, Trans, Gender-Non-Conforming and Non-Binary identities, Health & Wellness, Reiki, Self-Expression, and Grief work. They are motivated by their, self-coined, “Expansive Love Practice” -- an exercise in non-hierarchical love that allows them to authentically give and receive love in all that they are called to do.

Gian Smith is a New Orleans based artist. His craft spans over several media including writing, acting, and video production, but he is probably most notably recognized as a spoken word poet. Gian has made several television appearances, some on local New Orleans stations, some international including VH1 And HBO. His poem ‘O Beautiful Storm’ was featured in a preview for season 2 of HBO’s Treme which resulted in an interview on National Public Radio’s Weekend Edition. The 3 commercials Smith featured in ran over the course of about four months on HBO. Smith is also well known locally for his community organization including NOYOpresents: Pass It On open mic. He and his partners have co-hosted the event since November of 2008. Smith can often be found at local High Schools and Middle Schools when asked to speak to children and aspiring poets. Gian’s latest exploration of the arts has landed at filmmaking. In 2014 Smith introduced his web series “open mike” to the world and in 2015 followed that up with great success with his short film “The Adulterer” which featured in a dozen film festivals around the country including winning the prestigious Remi award at 49th annual Worldfest Houston international Film Festival, a distinction shared with George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and many others as young filmmakers. Currently Smith is working on a feature film entitled “The Possibility of Harriet” expected to be completed in 2018, as well as developing “The Adulterer” into an episodic series to be self-distributed.
